We are recruiting inspiring and skilled Chef's of all ranges to join the team and assist in delivering an excellent service at the 4* Moorings Hotel, where we are expanding the establishment and dining facilities with 5 exclusive bedrooms and a Canalside Cafe/Bistro situated on the beautiful Neptune's Staircase.

The ideal candidates for these full and part time positions should meet the following requirements:
Previous experience working in a busy kitchen
Passion for Fine Dining
Ability to work in team and on own initiative within a high pressured environment
Strong communication and organisational skills with a desire to deliver exceptional levels of guest service are essential
Highly motivated, willing to share knowledge and assist with training and developing the chef's within the team
Health and Hygiene awareness (certificate preferred)
Ensuring an effective and efficient kitchen operation including following quality and portion control recipies as instructed
To assist in the smooth operation of the kitchen, delivering effective and efficient food service within the kitchen operation and deliver exceptional customer service at all times
Adhering to hotel standards and Health and Safety regulations
Flexibility in working hours will also be required as this role will require you to work shifts, weekends and potentially more hours in busy periods
Other responsibilities of the role include cleaning areas of responsibility, maintaining equipment and to assist if necessary in other functional areas as directed by the Kitchen Manager

£17,000 per annum, This is a graduate placement and partially funded by Highland Council for a 12 month period. GBP 17000

Your role will involve working closely with senior management to project manage a new extension comprising of 5 luxury bedrooms, large cafe with additional kitchen and further toilet facilities. You will be liaising with architects, surveyors and contractors. You will be sourcing new equipment, ensuring all timescales are being met and providing progress reports to senior management at regular intervals. Your role will include helping develop a marketing strategy for the whole hotel and engaging with the local community and Visitscotland to promote the new development. During this project you will also ensure a safe environment for all staff and visitors. The position will also involve providing a managerial administrative role for senior management.
To qualify for this position you must be educated to HND or degree level and have graduated in the last four years. A qualification in a business related discipline is desirable. A driving license would be beneficial. Experience in compiling reports, giving presentations and good IT knowledge is required.
